About Anna Denzel

Anna Denzel was born in New York City to a German-Ukrainian father and Italian mother, and grew up near Munich. She graduated from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität with an MA in Italian and English Literature and Art History, subsequently studied at the University of Leeds (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) and completed a Diploma in Professional Translation from New York University in 2020. She has worked as a teacher of English, German, and Italian, as a linguist, and in recent years has concentrated on literary translation. Her fields of interest are contemporary Jewish authors writing in German and Italian as well as women writers of the 19th and 20th centuries.
