Sowmya is a computer scientist and translator. She has published two books in translation: Satyajit Ray’s Our Films, Their Films translated from English into Telugu (Navatarangam Publications, 2011) and Kondapalli Koteswaramma’s autobiography translated from Telugu into English as The Sharp Knife of Memory (Zubaan Books, 2015).
