About Ramesh Karthik Nayak

Ramesh Karthik Nayak (b. 1997) writes in Telugu, a Dravidian language spoken predominantly in South India. He is one of the first writers to depict the lifestyle of the Banjara tribe in Telugu literature. He published a poetry collection Balder Bandi (2018) and a short story collection Dhavlo (2021), both written in Telugu. One of his poems is taught as part of the Telugu literature curriculum at a public liberal arts college in his home state of Telangana in India. He is currently working on his English poetry collection Chakmak and is co-editing Kesula, an anthology of Banjara short fiction written in Telugu.
