Aina Villanger made her debut in 2012 with long song, a subjective and energetic story of creation in poetry form, for which she received excellent reviews. Her second book, Baugeid’s Book, was published in 2017 and was shortlisted for the Norwegian Young Readers’ Critics’ Prize. She was awarded the prestigious Stig Sæterbakken Memorial Prize for her works in 2019, and her work is highly regarded by critics and readers alike, combining captivating writing with original subject matter.
