Olvido García Valdés is the author of seven books of poetry, including Lo solo del animal (Tusquets 2012) and Y todos estábamos vivos (2006, winner of Spain’s National Poetry Prize), founder of the literary review El signo de gorrión and editor of Los Infolios, and translator of Pasolini, Akhmatova and Tsvetaeva. She lives in Toledo with her husband, the poet Miguel Casado.
