Zafer Şenocak, born in Turkey in 1961, grew up in Munich and lives between Berlin, Munich, and Istanbul. He has been a writer in residence at numerous US universities. A collection of his poetry was published in Door Languages, translated from German by Elizabeth Oehlkers Wright, Zephyr Press, Brookline MA 2008.
