Calvin Olsen was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. He received a BA in English with a Portuguese minor from Brigham Young University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Boston University. He received a 2011 Robert Pinsky Global Fellowship and traveled to the Iberian Peninsula to translate the poetry of Alberto de Lacerda. Olsen’s poetry has appeared in SWAMP, The Honey Land Review, and others. He currently works as a translator/interpreter and lives in Watertown, MA.
