Paul Melo e Castro is a lecturer in Portuguese at the University of Leeds, where he teaches the stories of Orlanda Amarílis in a course dealing with the postcolonial narratives in Portuguese. His translations have appeared in Metamorphoses, The AALITRA Review, The Adirondack Review, Sojourn, The Contemporary Literary Review India and Muse India.
