About Elizabeth Raab

Elizabeth Raab is a senior undergraduate pursuing Yale's joint BA/MA in Classics. This project grew out of four years spent studying Latin and Greek texts and trying to communicate to friends and family the zaniness, delight, and horror in the works of dead writers who were probably terrible people and whom she cannot help but love. She wrote this translation for Peter Cole’s class, The Practice of Literary Translation. It would not exist without the advice and kindness of Professor Cole, Spencer Lee-Lenfield, Grace Blaxill, Professor Christina Kraus, Thomas Munro, Muhua Yang, Claire Saint-Amour, and many others.
