About Wong Koi Tet

WONG KOI TET, 48, is currently a part-time lecturer with the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Chinese Department teaching modern Chinese literature and creative writing . He graduated with a BA from the National University of Singapore and an MA from NTU. He was previously a journalist with alocal Chinese newspaper for seven years, and has been writing in different literary genres since his college years. Appointed as the NTU-NAC Writer-in-Residence in the first half of 2015, he has published seven books: Till Death, We Dance (prose collection, 1995), Revised Edition (poetry, 1996), Incidents (prose and short-story collection, 2004), So Dark The Brightness (socio-cultural essays, 2015), Three or Four Lines (poetic verse collection, 2016), dakota (local chronicle, 2018), Black Panther (short-story collection, 2019), and Three or Four Lines II (poetic verse collection, 2021). In 2020, he won the Singapore Literature Prize in both fiction and non-fiction categories.
