Jacob Riyeff is a translator, poet, and scholar whose work focuses mainly on monastic culture and western contemplation from the early medieval period to the present day. His newest book, with his wife Mamie, is O Shining Light, a translation of the Old English Advent Lyrics (Gracewing). Jacob teaches in the English department at Marquette University and lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
