Robert Carpenter is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Ancient Mediterranean Studies at the University of Missouri. His previous translation work includes the Photios Online Project, a cross-institutional effort to begin the work of translating Photios’ Lexicon from Byzantine Greek into English. He is a new father (and a very proud one), and he would like to take this opportunity to reassure his advisor that this is still not interrupting his coursework.
