Art by Pinyu Hwang

Pinyu Hwang is a recent graduate from Yale University with a double major in Computer Science and Linguistics. Currently studying abroad in Japan, she has translated mostly contemporary Chinese-language poetry by Taiwanese writers, and her translations have appeared in Exchanges, Asymptote blog, MAYDAY, and ctrl + v journal. She is fascinated by the ways language becomes art, visually and linguistically, through its shapes and its meanings. (Instagram: @pearlh6527)
