Esther Diaz learned Spanish while living and studying in Mexico during her formative years and is certified by the American Translators Association for translation from Spanish to English and from English to Spanish. She has more than 30 years of experience as a medical translator and trainer and has devoted much of her career to promotion of the profession. She founded and teaches the Translation and Interpreting Program at Austin Community College. Esther received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Master of Education in Adult Education and Human Resource Development Leadership from the University of Texas at Austin.
