About Yvette Siegert

Yvette Siegert is a poet and literary translator based in New York. Her work has appeared in Aufgabe, Boston Review, Circumference, Gulf Coast, The Literary Review, St. Petersburg Review, 6x6, Springhouse, Stonecutter and other places. She has edited for The New Yorker and the United Nations, and has taught at Baruch College, the 92nd Street Y and Columbia University, where she completed a B.A. in comparative literature and an M.F.A. in poetry. For her translations of Alejandra Pizarnik, recently published by New Directions and Ugly Duckling Presse, she received fellowships from PEN Heim/NYSCA and the National Endowment for the Arts.
