Addie Leak is a freelance editor and translator based in Iowa City, IA, where she received her MFA in literary translation in 2013. She is the recipient of a 2016-2017 Fulbright award to Jordan, where she will be teaching English and improving her translation skills in Arabic. Her work has been published in The Huffington Post, The Postcolonialist, The Buenos Aires Review, 91st Meridian, and Drunken Boat, as well as the anthologies Souffles-Anfas: A Critical Anthology from the Moroccan Journal of Culture and Politics and Lanterns of Hope: A Poetry Project for Iraqi Youth, which she helped to edit.
