About Elfriede Jelinek

Elfriede Jelinek’s novels, essays and theater pieces have been translated and performed in many languages. An organist by training, she lives in Vienna and Munich and is the 2004 recipient of the Nobel Prize for Literature. She is also the German-language translator of Thomas Pynchon’s Gravity’s Rainbow and plays by Oscar Wilde and Georges Feydeau, among others.
