About Saleh Diab

Saleh Diab (1967-) is an Aleppo-born poet, journalist, and literary critic who has been living in France since 2000. Diab has written for numerous newspapers and periodicals and translated Arabic poetry into French and French poetry into Arabic. He has published three original collections: A Dry Moon Watches Over My Life (1998), Greek Summer (2006) and You Send a Knife, I send a Dagger (2009). Major poems were collected in the bilingual J’ai visité ma vie (2013). Diab has also edited two anthologies of contemporary Syrian poetry, the Arabic Black Seagulls (2007) and the bilingual Arabic-French Poésie syrienne contemporaine (2018).
