Daniel Behar is a Postdoctoral Fellow affiliated with Middle Eastern Studies at Dartmouth College. He earned his PhD in Comparative Literature at Harvard University. His current book project focuses on the development of modern poetry in Syria in a global context of circulation, transmission and translation. He has published translations of Arabic poetry into Hebrew and English in various literary journals.
