Ekaterina Simonova is a Russian poet and literary critic from Nizhny Tagil. Her poems have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies in Russia and abroad, and she has published five collections: Being a boy (2004), Garden with Ice (2011), Herbarium (2011), Time (2012) and Her Only Two Dresses (2020). She won the Ural prize for poetry in 2014, was a finalist of the Moscow Observer prize for literary criticism in 2017 and won the Poezia Poem of the Year Prize in 2019. She is an editor of the poetry series ‘InVersia,’ one of the few Russian publishing projects run only by women. Two of her poems appeared in F-Letter: New Russian Feminist Poetry, a bilingual English-Russian anthology published earlier this year.
