Susan McLean, professor emerita of English at Southwest Minnesota State University, has published a volume of translations of Martial’s poems, Selected Epigrams, as well as translations of poems by Catullus, Horace, Sir Thomas More, Rilke, and Baudelaire, which have appeared in The Classical Outlook, Arion, Measure, Subtropics, and elsewhere. Her books of her own poems have won the Richard Wilbur Award and the Donald Justice Poetry Prize.
