About Anna Jackson

Anna Jackson is a poet whose several poems of poetry include Catullus for Children and I, Clodia, two collections that engage, in very different ways, with the work of Catullus. More literal translations of Catullus can be found on her website and further, more playful, versions have been previously published with Ancient Exchanges and elsewhere. Her most recent publication is Actions and Travels: How Poetry Works (Auckland University Press, 2022), which looks at different qualities that can be found in poems and includes a chapter on poetry that engages with the literature of the past.  She lives in Island Bay, Wellington, New Zealand and is an Associate Professor at Te Herenga WakaVictoria University of Wellington.
