Mirgul Kali’s translations of works by Kazakh writers have appeared in Tupelo Quarterly, Asymptote, and Electric Literature. A recipient of American Literary Translators Association’s 2018-2019 Emerging Translator Mentorship, she is currently working on the translation of a novel by Kazakh writer Mukhtar Magauin.
