Robert Eric Shoemaker is an American poet and translator of Spanish and Italian. Eric’s major translation projects have focused on the plays of Federico García Lorca, including his translation of Yerma which won the inaugural Orinda Award from the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of American. Eric has translated for productions with Redtwist Theatre under the funding of the City of Chicago, and with the University of Chicago.
