About Damion Searls

Damion Searls has translated forty books from German, French, Norwegian, and Dutch, most recently Uwe Johnson's four-volume Anniversaries, hailed as a “superb translation” and “a masterpiece” in The New York Times. He translated Robert Walser’s The Schoolboy’s Diary and Other Stories and poems by Walser for an artist’s book by Thomas Schütte. He is also the author of The Inkblots, a history of the Rorschach test and the first biography of its Swiss artist-psychiatrist creator and Walser’s contemporary, Hermann Rorschach.
