About Caroline Collins

Caroline Collins is a writer, educator, researcher, and community activist.  A San Diego native, she received her Bachelor's in American Literature from UCLA and her MFA in Creative Writing from UCR.  Caroline teaches Communication at UCSD where she is also a researcher for the La Clase Mágica initiative and is currently applying to PhD Programs to further examine the ways in which narrative engagement can socially empower and “give voice” to marginalized individuals and groups.  She is presently working on a contemporary screenplay and a historical novel set during the Harlem Renaissance.  Caroline resides in Chula Vista, CA with her husband and two sons.
