Lubna Safi is a PhD student at the University of California, Berkeley, whose work focuses on poetry and poetics, hybrid genres, and the aesthetics of religious experience in Sufi poetry and Morisco Literature. She hopes to continue translating poetry and prose of women poets from medieval Iberia.
