About Minh Tran Huy

Born in Paris in 1979, Minh Tran Huy’s Vietnamese heritage plays a significant role in her writing. Voyageur malgré lui (Flammarion, 2014) is her fifth book to date, following: La Princesse et le pêcheur (Actes Sud, 2007), Le Lac né en une nuit et autres légendes du Vietnam (Actes Sud, 2008), La Double vie d’Anna Song (2010), and a children’s book, Comment la mer devint salée (Actes Sud, 2011). In her inquisitive and poetic style, Huy unfolds questions of identity and origins – exploring memory, childhood, and displacement. Huy is a literary critic and former deputy editor of Le Magazine Littéraire.
