Phyllis Zatlin is author of several scholarly books and translator of numerous plays from Spain and France by such authors as José Luis Alonso de Santos, Jean-Paul Daumas, Eduardo Manet, Itziar Pascual and Paloma Pedrero. Some of these scripts have been performed in professional and university theaters across the United States as well as in the U.K. and Australia. Most recently staged is Policy, by Antonio Muñez de Mesa. She holds a Ph.D. in Romance Languages (Univ. of Florida), is professor emerita of Spanish and translation at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and is a member of the Dramatists Guild and Spain’s authors’ society (SGAE).
