About Thomas Simpson

Thomas Simpson is Associate Professor of Instruction in Italian at Northwestern University, focusing on theater and translation. He has translated plays by, among others, Edoardo de Filippo, Teatro delle Albe, Marco Paolini, and Marco Baliani. He is the author of Murder and Media in the New Rome (2010), a study of a notorious media circus trial. He published a translation of Edoardo Albinati’s report on the Taliban’s destruction of the monumental Buddhas in Bamiyan in Cabinet (Summer, 2003).
