Born in Mexico City in 1990, Andrea Chapela studied Chemistry in the UNAM. Her first novel, La herdera (first part of the tetralogy Vâudïz) was published by Ediciones Urano in 2008. El creador and La cuestista followed in 2009 and 2012. The last installment, El cuento, was published in Fall 2015. She is graduating from the MFA in Spanish Creative Writing at the University of Iowa in May 2016 with a poetry book that combines poetry and chemistry.
