About Ana Gorría

Ana Gorría is one of the leading Spanish poets under 35. Born in Barcelona and trained in Hispanic philology at the Complutense University in Madrid, Gorría has been widely anthologized and translated, most recently in Panic Cure (Shearsman, 2013), Forrest Gander’s anthology of ten exciting new poets from Spain. Gorría is the author of several collections; she is also a literary critic and a translator of Galician and English poetry. Her chapbook The Solitude of Forms received Honorable Mentions in the Goodmorning Menagerie Translation Contest and the inaugural Gulf Coast Prize in Translation. Sky under Construction, the first full-length selection of her work, is forthcoming from Alice James Books.
